This research aimed to design and validate a practical model for moral education curriculum based on Quranic principles for higher education. This study was conducted with a mixed-methods sequential exploratory approach. In the qualitative phase, by analyzing the themes of selected verses of the Holy Quran and Al-Mizan Interpretation, key concepts of moral education were extracted and organized into a preliminary framework consisting of two dimensions: "attitudes" and "actions." In the quantitative phase, based on the extracted themes, a researcher-made questionnaire with 50 behavioral-attitudinal items was designed and distributed among 320 students and professors of universities in Tehran. The data were analyzed using exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis in LISREL software. The fitness indices of the final model for the attitude and action constructs were at a desirable level (χ²/df = 1.48-1.71, RMSEA = 0.042-0.051, CFI = 0.93-1.00, GFI = 0.94-0.98). The novel achievement of this research is presenting a valid and systematic model that specifies how to convert Quranic concepts into operational elements of the curriculum (including behavioral objectives, integrated content, active teaching strategies, and authentic assessment methods).
