Abstract:
Throughout the history of Shia, paying attention to the supplications transmitted by the infallible Imams (ma’thura) and benefiting from them in various dimensions has been very common in the scientific and practical life of the great Shia scholars. Based on their scientific approach and special understanding, the Salaf scholars interpreting supplications have paid attention to the dimensions of supplications using different approaches. One such approach is Allameh Misbah Yazdi's education-focused method. In his books, including Bedrud Bahar, Dua Makarem al-Akhlaq, Sahbai Huzur, Shokoh Najwa, Sajjadehaye Soluk, Bar Dargah Dust, and Rah Tosheh, Allameh Misbah gave commentary on a collection of supplications transmitted from the infallible Imams, taking into account the educational aspects on supplications. This paper seeks to represent the practical and gradual process of Islamic education based on Allameh Misbah's description of the supplications and his method of explanation. The research method used in this research is inferential content analysis, i.e. the content is inferred from Allameh Misbah's explanations on the supplications. Obviously, what has been attributed to Allameh Misbah is solely based on the author's understanding of the sources. According to this research, the process of faith education and man’s relationship with God Almighty begins with knowledge of God and oneself; it develops through emotional relationships and tendencies and results in the context of behavioral dimensions.
