Abstract:
The present study aims to validate the model of ‘child thinking development’ components in the ‘Philosophy for Children’ program based on Islamic epistemology. The research method is applied in terms of its purpose and is qualitative in terms of the data type, conducted using content analysis. Legitimacy is calculated using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, and composite reliability. Data analysis is performed using SPSS-V23 and Smart PLS-V3 softwares. According to the conclusion of this research, the development of child thinking in ‘the Philosophy for Children’ program based on Islamic epistemology consists of 159 indicators, 32 components, and seven dimensions: "moral development of children and their understanding of value issues," "fostering rational thinking," "intuitive and philosophical perspectives," "enhancing political and economic understanding," "enhancing epistemological understanding," "disciplining and educating children," and "having knowledge of God." Additionally, the characteristics of child thinking development, from the perspective of Islamic epistemology, includes creating a free space for discussion and criticism, encouraging questioning and deep thinking, presenting Islamic philosophical issues in simple language, and focusing on the development of abstract thinking skills. Finally, according to this research, the model for the development of child thinking in the ‘Philosophy for Children’ program based on Islamic epistemology is valid.
