Abstract:
Educational areas refer to various dimensions of education and are categorized based on different criteria. One of these criteria is the anthropological approach to the structure of the human soul, which, considering the inherent characteristics of man, such as his inclinations, insights, and abilities, places the corresponding areas as the center of education. The aim of this research is to explain the spatial division in education by considering the Islamic anthropological approach to the structure of the soul. Using the qualitative content analysis method of Islamic anthropological foundations, it was determined that the human "soul" consists of three dimensions: insight, tendency, and action. Each of these dimensions refers to a part of the human's developable capacities and can be the basis for regulating distinct educational areas. Some of these areas have also been proposed in the current education system, but they have not been documented in the foundations of Islamic anthropology, and some others have not been considered at all. As a result, this study proposes thirteen educational areas as areas of Islamic education based on the criteria of Islam's anthropological approach to the structure of the soul. These areas include scientific, innate, backward, research, authoritative, emotional, emotional, artistic, instinctive, skilled, physical, managerial, and metaphysical education. This classification provides a comprehensive look at the existential dimensions of man in the education process.
