Intellectual education is one of the important dimensions of human education because achieving success in other aspects, including the emotional, moral and social aspects, depends on intellectual education. For achieving the important goals of this dimension of education, it is necessary to provide a model in the field of intellectual education curriculum. The main purpose of this study is to recognize the position of intellectual education in the curriculum of the "Religion and Life" subject in the second period of Iranian high school and to present its optimal model. The data-based method has been used for identifying the given model. In this study, the views of experts in the fields of curriculum planning, the philosophy of education and Islamic education have been used. Based on the purposive sampling method, the authors in this field were identified and interviewed. The research findings provide a model of rational education in the subject of “Religion and Life”. In the proposed model, causal conditions, contextual factors, interventional factors, actions and reactions, as well as the consequences of the model were determined. The designed paradigm model can lead to the spiritual growth of students and the realization of educating desired human and citizen based on Islamic models
