abstract = {The present paper, which is concerned with designing and examining the validity of a questionnaire on mate-selection according to Islam, seeks to assess mate-selection criteria used by those who want to marry. Mate-selection criteria have been extracted from the Quranic verses and traditions and they were used to prepare two questionnaires: one with 95 items for boys and another with122 items for girls, two samples; one comprising 337 male and the other comprising 424 female students from the seminary and universities in Qom and Isfahan, were completed.
The research findings show that the mate-selection criterion proposed by Islam has desirable intrinsic consistency and correlation based on split-half method. The results of the prescriptive factor analysis show that these two questionnaires have eight factors as follows. The factors included in the questionnaire for male students are: religious commitment, piety-orientation, luxury, quiescence, lack of self-control, egoism, familism, and love declaration. The factors stated in the questionnaire for male students are: religious commitment, attention to appearance, egoism, inflexibility, courtesy, attention to religious appearance, relaxation, and independence-seeking. The evaluation shows that this questionnaire contains essential correlated factors for assessing mate-selection indexes and features and it enjoys desirable reliability and validity

abstract_fa ={این پژوهش در پی طرّاحی، ساخت و اعتباریابی پرسش نامه‌ی «انتخاب همسر از دیدگاه» اسلام به منظور سنجش میزان معیارهای همسرگزینی در میان داوطلبان ازدواج است. بدین منظور، ابتدا با استفاده از منابع معتبر اسلام، معیارهای انتخاب همسر به  صورت توصیفی جمع آوری و سپس آزمون انتخاب همسر براساس آن ساخته شده است. ابتدا با بررسی آیات قرآن کریم و منابع حدیثی در زمینه‌ی خانواده، معیارهای همسرگزینی استخراج و پس از داوری تخصصی، اجرای آزمایشی آزمون و تحلیل نتایج اولیه، و حذف سؤالات دارای بار عاملی کمتر 30 درصد، پرسش نامه ای با 61 سؤال برای پسران و 83 سؤال برای دختران آماده شد. پرسش نامه‌ی اصلاح شده در نمونه‌ی 337 نفری از پسران و424 نفری از دختران طلبه و دانشجوی حوزه های علمیه و دانشگاه های اصفهان و قم، که بر اساس نمونه گیری سهمیه ای انتخاب شده بودند، اجرا گردید. نتایج تحلیل عاملی تجویزی حاکی از آن است که هر دو پرسش نامه دارای هشت عامل است. عوامل پرسش نامه‌ی دختران شامل پای بندی مذهبی، تقوا گرایی، تجمّل گرایی، آرامشگری، ناتوانی در مهار خود، خودمحوری، خانواده گرایی و ابراز محبت؛ و عوامل پرسش نامه‌ی پسران شامل پایبندی مذهبی، توجه به ظواهر، خودگرایی، انعطاف ناپذیری، ادب، توجه به ظواهر مذهبی، آرامش بخشی و استقلال طلبی است. ارزیابی پرسش نامه‌ی انتخاب همسر نشان داد که این پرسش نامه دارای عوامل زیربنایی همبسته برای سنجش شاخص ها و ویژگی های انتخاب همسر بوده و از روایی و اعتبار مطلوب برخوردار است. بنابراین، می توان آن را در مشاوره‌ی ازدواج مورد استفاده قرار داد.},
