This article reviews the definition and objectives of education outlined in this document—framed as the "quiddity" (nature) and "reason" (rationale) of education—and highlights the deficiencies that need re-evaluation and correction. The study employs both internal and external critique as its methodological approach. The key shortcomings in the "quiddity " of education include ambiguity and methodological flaws, overlap in key conceptual definitions, and vagueness in the concept of identity. In the "reason" for education, major deficiencies are the use of inappropriate terminologies, ambiguity in the ultimate goal of education, lack of clarity in the overall objective, absence of criteria for articulating intermediate objectives, failure to document sources and reasons for intermediate objectives, unclear linkage between intermediate objectives and the overall goal, and the incompleteness of intermediate objectives. «مبانی نظری تحول بنیادین» به‌دلیل اهمیت و جایگاه بلندی که در تدوین سند تحول بنیادین آموزش و پرورش و ازهمین‌رو به‌سبب نقش مؤثری که در سامان دادن و اصلاح نظام تعلیم و تربیت در جمهوری اسلامی ایران دارد، لازم است پیوسته مورد بررسی و نقد و بازخوانی قرار گیرد. این مقاله تعریف و اهداف تربیت را که در این سند تحت عنوان چیستی تربیت و چرایی تربیت مطرح شده‌اند، بررسی کرده و برخی کاستی‌های نیازمند بازخوانی و اصلاح را یادآور شده است. روش مورد استفاده در این پژوهش، نقد درونی و بیرونی است. مهم‌ترین کاستی‌ها در بخش چیستی تربیت عبارت‌اند از: ابهام و اشکال در روش‌شناسی؛ ابهام و تداخل در مفاهیم کلیدی؛ و ابهام در مفهوم هویت؛ و در بخش چرایی تربیت، مهم‌ترین کاستی‌ها عبارت‌اند از: انتخاب عنوان‌های نامناسب؛ ابهام در هدف غایی؛ روشن نبودن هدف کلی؛ ضابطه‌مند نبودن بیان اهداف واسطی؛ بیان نشدن مستندها و ادلة اهداف واسطی؛ روشن نبودن رابطة اهداف میانی با هدف کلی؛ و عدم جامعیت اهداف میانی. https://eslampajoheshha.nashriyat.ir/sites/eslampajoheshha.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/5000252-1745664622.pdf
